Description:
In some hot countries there is a need to dry the fruit directly in the fields. So far, only wooden benches could be used, suitably constructed for the purpose.
Wood is surely a fascinating material, but when it comes to industrial processes, its defects are obvious. Cleaning, durability, weight, are just some of the negative notes.
Our customer has decided to create a plastic crate specifically designed to facilitate drying, stacked, storage, transportation and cleaning.
In close contact and following the customer’s requests, we have developed a kind of special punching, to improve ventilation.
The crate obviously did not have to deflect over a certain value to not go to push the fruit in the underlying crate. We performed load simulations to determine and dimension the thickness of the material that would goal this value.
After designing the parts, we identified the best moldmaker for such big mould design and performed a fill simulation to find the correct construction of the hot runner system to meet the machine specification that the customer already has in his workshop.
The product is actually in use in fields.
